1500°C Chrome-Containing Composite Ceramic Fiber Module

This module features an alternating green and white color scheme. It is manufactured by pre-bonding chrome-containing fiber blankets and zirconia-containing ceramic fiber blankets, followed by folding and compression forming. The standard dimension of the chrome-containing composite ceramic fiber module is 300300300 mm, and customized sizes are available upon customer request.

Chrome-Containing Ceramic Fiber Blanket

Light green flexible blanket formed by interlaced fibers. It integrates refractory, heat insulation and thermal preservation properties, with a temperature resistance of 1500°C and a continuous service temperature of 1350°C.

Zirconia-Containing Ceramic Fiber Blanket

White flexible blanket composed of interwoven fibers. It combines refractory, heat insulation and thermal insulation functions, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1400°C with a long-term operating temperature of 1250°C.

Performance of 1500°C Chrome-Containing Composite Ceramic Fiber Module

  1. High temperature resistance (suitable for long-term service in kilns at 1350°C)

  2. Low thermal conductivity (<0.186 W/m·k at 1000°C)

  3. Light weight (bulk density: 220 kg/m³)

  4. Stable performance (shrinkage less than 3% at 1350°C)

  5. Excellent thermal shock resistance and tensile strength

  6. Functions of electrical insulation, thermal insulation, fire resistance, sound absorption and noise reduction

Production Process of 1500°C Chrome-Containing Composite Ceramic Fiber Module

Cut chrome-containing and zirconia-containing ceramic fiber blankets to specified widths and lengths respectively, then stack them. Carry out accordion-style folding and compression molding on dedicated equipment. Mount fixing wooden boards on both sides and fasten tightly with packing straps.

Typical Applications of 1500°C Chrome-Containing Composite Ceramic Fiber Module

Forging furnaces, coke ladle covers, molten steel ladle covers and other industrial kilns & heating equipment with continuous operating temperature above 1250°C; lining for high-temperature pipelines; thermal insulation for high-temperature flues and equipment valves; heat insulation for kiln doors and top covers; high-temperature filter media.

Differences Between 1500°C Chrome-Containing Fiber and 1400°C Zirconia-Containing Fiber

Zirconia component in zirconia-containing fiber is replaced by chromium sesquioxide in chrome-containing fiber. This upgrade raises both the maximum withstand temperature and continuous service temperature by 100°C: the chrome fiber resists 1500°C peak temperature with a long-term working temperature of 1350°C.
