Forging Furnace Temperature

A forging furnace is one of the most important pieces of equipment used in metal processing and manufacturing. The forging temperature refers to the temperature range between the initial forging temperature and the final forging temperature during the forging process.

For most alloy steels, the forging temperature typically ranges from 800°C to 1200°C, while certain special alloy steels may require forging temperatures as high as 1280°C.

Insulation Materials for Forging Furnaces

Such high operating temperatures often result in a relatively short service life for forging furnaces, generally no more than three years. The service life of the furnace lining is typically even shorter. Conventional ceramic fiber modules are often unable to fully meet the demanding operating conditions of forging furnaces.

To address these challenges, ALADDIN 1500°C Chrome-Zirconium Composite Ceramic Fiber Modules can be used. With a classification temperature of up to 1500°C and a continuous operating temperature of up to 1350°C, these modules help extend furnace lining service life while reducing maintenance costs and improving production efficiency.

The 1500°C Chrome-Zirconium Composite Ceramic Fiber Module features a distinctive green-and-white appearance. It is manufactured by pre-laminating chromium-containing fiber blankets and zirconia-containing ceramic fiber blankets of equal thickness (20 mm or 25 mm), which are then folded together into a composite module structure.

Features of 1500°C Chrome-Zirconium Composite Ceramic Fiber Modules

  • Fine fiber structure with excellent resilience

  • Low impurity content and minimal shot content

  • Stable and reliable performance

  • Excellent thermal stability and chemical stability

  • Outstanding elasticity with modules supplied in a pre-compressed state

  • After installation, module expansion eliminates gaps in the furnace lining and compensates for fiber shrinkage, enhancing the overall thermal insulation performance

  • Excellent overall performance, including superior thermal stability and thermal shock resistance

  • Fast and convenient installation

  • Anchoring systems are positioned on the cold face of the lining, reducing the material requirements for anchor components

In addition, ALADDIN can provide customized thermal insulation design solutions and installation training services according to specific customer requirements.
